I am using Devsim for a university project. I am puzzled by the contact equation assembly in Devsim. In particular, I cannot understand how the control volume of a contact node is defined and how the flux through this volume is defined. Sorry if I am asking something trivial. Thank you!

For each edge of a contact node, the EdgeCouple is multiplied by the current densities to calculate the current. There are other options for contact assembly, but this is the one used for the terminal current in the models provided by default.
